When INDEC was founded in 1998, our vision was clear: to redefine strategic competitive analysis and technical benchmarking. That’s exactly what we did from the very beginning – and what we continue to do today with our innovative tools in the id-x-platform: GOBENCH and GOIDEA.</p>

In order to meet your needs even better and share our expertise, the scope of our activities has expanded to include consulting, workshops and conferences. And our benchmarking services now go beyond analyses of the here and now to assist you in the creation of road maps for stragetic planning.

INDEC had the great pleasure of visiting Mercedes-Benz for an insightful exchange on benchmarking, innovation, and best practices in the automotive industry.
The very next day, we continued our journey at Daimler Truck, where we engaged in another inspiring dialogue focused on benchmarking and shared learning.

Market Intelligence Focus Group hosted by the Complexity Management Academy

Over the course of two intensive days, the spotlight was on the topic of Competitive Analysis, with a special focus on Asia. Well-known Asian experts contributed exciting presentations. Particular attention was given to the availability and reliability of data from China, as well as how to effectively work with such data.

Through several years of experience as head of the development department of a medium-sized company and later as head of the product management of an international automotive supplier, Falco has extensive knowledge of the processes and contents in the entire product development process, as well as the business management experience associated with product marketing and placement.

With his industrial experience, he helped building up a TechCenter associated with a well-known German patent law firm and is now CEO of Design to IP GmbH, a company dedicated to digitizing the IP world.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Hofmann

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Hofmann has 15 years of experience in international leadership positions (OEM / Tier 1) in the automotive sector. In addition, Thomas has more than 12 years of consulting and teaching experience. The professor is actively involved in master’s and bachelor’s programs at several universities, where benchmarking and cost analyses play a significant role. He has been part of the INDEC community for about 12 years.

Academic collaborations began at the Hochschule Hamm Lippstadt, and today Prof. Hofmann collaborate with INDEC on innovative cost management and benchmarking studies at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt (University of Applied Science for Economy and Environment).

The Computer Science Department, led by Prof. Christoph Friedrich at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund, has extensive experience in machine learning applications and information extraction from text and images. Their specialties include developing explainable deep learning models (XAI) and creating large training datasets using Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN). The department boasts a strong track record in international projects, including BMBF and DiffPro ML.

Mr. Han Zhao, Managing Director of Tech-Web based in Changchun, China, has been an established and reliable partner for INDEC since 2007 to introduce all INDEC services to Chinese industrial customers and develop the Chinese benchmarking business market. With the growth of its IT team and the benchmarking consulting team, Tech-Web also became INDEC's technical partner in 2023.

Tech-Web is developing new software functions for Chinese customers and is now also INDEC's development partner. Tech-Web is the key point for INDEC in China, the largest industrial location in the world.
